Deluxe King Room with exposed brick wall, beamed ceiling and king bed

Sacred Trails Kathmandu Homestay has six private guest rooms — Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin rooms — and one self-contained 2-bedroom family apartment. Every option has its own bathroom and free Wi-Fi, so the choice mostly comes down to who you are travelling with and how long you are staying.

Deluxe King Room — for couples and solo travellers

The King room is about 20 m² with a king-size bed in hotel-grade linen, a study table and traditional touches: exposed brick, timber beams and carved wooden windows. Selected King rooms open onto a private balcony facing the Shivapuri forest — ask for one when you book and we will allocate it if it is free for your dates. Breakfast cooked by the family is included in the $35 rate.

Deluxe Twin Room — for friends and trekking partners

Two single beds with premium bedding, a brick feature wall, beamed ceiling and polished wooden floors. There is no private balcony, but shared balconies on every floor and the rooftop look over the forest, the city, a stupa and temples. Trekkers like the Twin room because there is room to sort gear before and after the trail. Breakfast is included in the $35 rate.

2-Bedroom Family Apartment — for families and long stays

A home within the house: two separate bedrooms, a private living room with a large sofa set, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a dining table for four. A shelf of travel books and Nepal guides is there for planning. The apartment is $70 a night, breakfast can be arranged on request, and weekly and monthly rates are available. Tell us how many adults and children are travelling and we will confirm the best set-up.
