Overview
The Sacred Triangle brings together three of Nepal's greatest destinations: the temples and royal squares of the Kathmandu Valley, the jungle of Chitwan National Park, and Lumbini, birthplace of the Buddha.
It is paced so you can actually take it in — lighter days are built in after early starts, and every transfer is arranged: a private vehicle to Chitwan, the road to Lumbini, and a short domestic flight from Bhairahawa back to Kathmandu.

Day-by-day itinerary
Every itinerary can be adjusted — extra rest days, private departures or a different pace.
Day 1: Arrival at Sacred Trails, Budhanilkantha
Airport pickup, an evening visit to Budhanilkantha Vishnu Temple and a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Kathmandu's sacred core
Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Kumari courtyard.
Day 3: Patan and Bhaktapur
Patan Durbar Square, then Bhaktapur's 55-Window Palace and Pottery Square, with lunch in Bhaktapur.
Day 4: Kathmandu to Chitwan
About 5 hours by private vehicle through the hills to the Terai. Afternoon canoe ride, Elephant Breeding Centre and an evening Tharu dance.
Day 5: Full jungle safari day
Early jeep safari, midday rest, afternoon guided jungle walk and an evening visit to a Tharu village.
Day 6: Bird watching and rest
Early bird walk in the buffer zone, a free afternoon in Sauraha and sunset on the Rapti River.
Day 7: Chitwan to Lumbini
About 3 hours by road. Afternoon in the Sacred Garden: Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, Puskarini pond and the Bodhi tree at sunset.
Day 8: Monastic Zone and Tilaurakot
The International Monastic Zone and World Peace Pagoda, then Tilaurakot palace ruins and the Kapilavastu Archaeological Museum.
Day 9: Dawn in the Sacred Garden, fly to Kathmandu
Optional sunrise walk, check-out, transfer to Bhairahawa and a 25-minute flight to Kathmandu, where our driver meets you.
