The Complete Nepal Journey is exactly what the name says — Nepal’s four greatest destinations in a single, seamless, well-paced 11-day trip. Starting and ending at Sacred Trails Homestay in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, this package takes you through the ancient UNESCO heritage of the Kathmandu Valley, deep into the wildlife sanctuary of Chitwan National Park, to the birthplace of the Buddha at Lumbini, and on to the Himalayan lakeside city of Pokhara before returning home. Temples, tigers, the birthplace of Buddha and the Annapurna range — all in one journey.

This is the most complete Nepal travel experience available from a single base. Every transfer is arranged, every night is accounted for, and the pace is designed so that you spend genuine time at each destination rather than passing through. The Complete Nepal Journey is ideal for first-time Nepal visitors who want to see everything, international travellers with limited time who want maximum depth, and anyone who wants to understand Nepal — not just visit it. Available in Essential, Classic and Premium tiers with private and group departures year-round from Sacred Trails Homestay, Kathmandu.

Tour Schedule

Your Complete Nepal Journey begins at Sacred Trails Homestay in Budhanilkantha — the place where your 11-day trip starts and the place where it ends. Your driver meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and brings you directly to the homestay. Evening stroll to Budhanilkantha Vishnu Temple, followed by a home-cooked Nepali dal bhat welcome dinner and a full orientation for everything that lies ahead.

Dawn aarti at Pashupatinath Temple on the Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa circumambulation with monks and pilgrims. Swayambhunath hilltop panorama over the Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Kumari living goddess courtyard. Four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, one well-paced day, 90-minute lunch break built in.

Patan Durbar Square and the Patan Museum inside the royal palace. Bhaktapur's 55-Window Palace, juju dhau king yogurt and traditional Pottery Square. Leisurely lunch in Bhaktapur, then early return to Sacred Trails to pack for Chitwan tomorrow.

Breakfast at Sacred Trails, then a 5-hour drive through Nepal's Terai lowlands to Chitwan National Park. Afternoon canoe ride on the Rapti River, elephant bathing at the Breeding Centre, and an evening Tharu cultural performance around the campfire. Gentle travel day — the full safari begins tomorrow.

6:00 AM jeep safari into Chitwan's core zone — one-horned rhinos, Bengal tigers and leopards in the golden morning light. Breakfast and mandatory 2-hour midday rest. Afternoon guided jungle walk with a trained naturalist. Evening Tharu village visit alongside the park boundary.

Early morning bird watching walk at first light. Breakfast and departure for Lumbini — 3 hours through the Terai plains. Full afternoon at the UNESCO-listed Lumbini Sacred Garden: Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, Puskarini Sacred Pond and the Bodhi Tree garden at sunset. Short travel day, long meaningful afternoon.

Morning in Lumbini's International Monastic Zone — temples from 20+ nations and the World Peace Pagoda with hilltop views. Then a 5-hour drive through the Nepali hills to Pokhara. Afternoon boat ride on Phewa Lake to Tal Barahi Island Temple, Machapuchare reflected in the water. Evening stroll along the Lakeside promenade.

5:30 AM departure for Sarangkot — sunrise over the full Annapurna range, one of the finest Himalayan panoramas in Nepal. Return for breakfast and a 90-minute rest. Afternoon at Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and the World Peace Pagoda with 360° views over Pokhara and the valley.

Choose one: tandem paragliding from Sarangkot over Phewa Lake, white-water rafting on the Seti River, mountain biking to Begnas Lake, or a short hike to Australian Camp for Annapurna views. One activity only — afternoon completely free. No rushing, no back-to-back scheduling.

Final morning on Phewa Lake at sunrise. 25-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Free afternoon in Thamel — pashmina, singing bowls, Thangka art. Evening farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant with Himalayan skyline views. One last night at Sacred Trails Homestay.

Final breakfast at Sacred Trails — where your Complete Nepal Journey began and where it ends. Your driver transfers you to Tribhuvan International Airport with a personal send-off from the Sacred Trails family.
